Sorry for the delay, but here are some pictures of Year 4 (now Year 5) last year when we attended the Innovation Centre Annual Film awards!
Yesterday, Year 4 carried out an investigation about whether height affects the length of our bones! After planning our prediction and method, we started measuring each other’s heights and arm span from elbow to wrist. After recording the results, next lesson we will be drawing graphs to present our results!
Here are some photos of us working!
This week we are thinking about the weather. It has been cold and blustery here even though it has been sunny. The prompt this week is:
…but the ferocious wind …
Please make sure you link the correct week and that you have used the best vocabulary you can think of.
The form will close on 23rd May
Once upon a time Poppy and her family lived a quiet life in the countryside. Poppy lived far away from her school. Her mum and dad were in superb jobs and Poppy hated her school. Poppy asked if she could go to another school. On her first day an enormous bird called Ruby came, Poppy was petrified. The bird picked her up and strapped her to a piece of rigid wood. She put her on a log which was as black as night and soggy and damp. She tried not to be scared but the bird came closer and she screamed!

On Tuesday we created maps of North America with a twist! We have been learning about the different types of terrain, such as mountains, rivers, deserts and lakes, and instead of simply drawing them, we created them using sweets!
We used licorice laces for the rivers and lakes, yellow glitter for deserts and chocolate raisins for mountains!
Here are some pictures to show what we did!
Yesterday, we visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster! We had a great day learning about endangered animals as well as looking at all the different wild animals.

Wow, what a great day we had at Yorkshire Wildlife Park! Before we post all about our day, a very kind gentlemen took some fantastic photos of Pixel the new polar bear trying to catch some ducks and offered to email them to us! Pixel kept bobbing underwater to try and surprise them, but luckily for the ducks he wasn’t very good!
Here are the fab pictures which we should thank Mr Nick Huntridge for!
More pictures of our day will follow soon when Miss Speake recovers from catching the sun! 😉
